Parent Code of Conduct
All parents must abide by the league and USA Hockey code of conduct policies, as well as educate their kids on the league and USA Hockey code of conduct policies. There is no abuse of officials tolerated by the league. Please do not yell at them. Please do not coach the ice with instructions from the stands. Examples of parent coaching from the stands include "pressure", "back door", "skate", "use your body", "get there". These are instructions. You are attempting to influence the game. You have inserted yourself as a factor in the game. Things that are ok: "Go ___" (team name). We don't want parents singling out players. Even "great job ___". You are now creating a verbal reward for behaviors. That is called "coaching". Please do not threaten kids, refs or coaches. Please offer yourself as a volunteer. Please do not disparage the league online. If you have concerns, please reach out to team managers or league directors. Please do not turn the spring league into the Superbowl. It's just a fun, constructive place to play. Violation of league code of conduct policies will be a verbal warning, a written warning, or player removal from the league with no refund. The league can choose whichever consequence it deems fitting. Please get along with other parents in the stands. No profanity.
